The Booker T. Washington High School PTSA is pleased to announce that it is providing $12,000 to be used for students of PTSA members who are planning to attend enrichment programs this summer. These sponsorships may be used for all or part of enrollment and related fees to attend summer programs of the student’s choice with the approval of their respective Cluster Coordinator or Head of Academic Department.
Applicants for summer enrichment awards will be required to meet ALL of the following requirements: (incomplete applications will NOT be considered)

Student must be a member of the PTSA prior to December 31, 2011. Join PTSA Here.

Submit a completed Summer Enrichment Grant Application 2011-2012

Submit a Summer enrichment program recommendation form from a cluster coordinator, or in the case of Academic Enrichment the head of the department, using the Recommendation form.

Submit a copy of your most recent report card indicating a cumulative GPA of 85 or higher.

Submit a proof of enrollment and total costs* of the summer program.
*The grant will be written to the student and will not exceed costs of program.
An evaluation of the summer program attended is required from each recipient at the end of the program. Failure to provide this evaluation will prohibit receipt of the award in subsequent years. This evaluation will be used to build a database for future students.
All required documents and this application should be turned into your Cluster Coordinator** by April 23, 2012*. Recipients will be notified by May 15, 2012.
**The student is responsible for following up with the Cluster Coordinator to be sure application materials have been submitted to the PTSA.
