If you are a PTSA Member and you have not picked up your Directory, please go by the BTW Reception Desk and pick it up.

 

One Directory per PTSA Member family.  If you are not a current member of the PTSA, we welcome you to join by downloading and filling out the PTSA Membership Form and mailing in payment to the school and start enjoying the benefits of PTSA membership immediately.  Membership is $10 for an individual or $25 for a family.

Four Booker T. Students Named 2012 National Merit Semifinalists

Four Booker T. Students Named 2012 National Merit Semifinalists

Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts is proud to announce four seniors are 2012 National Merit Scholarship Competition Semifinalists. Congratulations to Adam Davis, Regan Devers, Graham Dudley and Katie Wolf.
The National Merit Scholarship Program began in 1955 as an academic competition for recognition and scholarships for high school students. Entry into the competition occurs when student take the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
As National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists, these four students are part of the 16,000 students, one third of the 50,000 high scorers that took the PSAT/NMSQT, to receive this honor. They will have the opportunity to be recognized as National Merit Scholarship Finalists and could receive several Corporate and College sponsored scholarship awards.

Kevin Bacon Visits BTW!

Actor Kevin Bacon visited Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, to discuss acting, his career and handling fame with junior and senior theater students at the school. His appearance was made possible through a partnership with the Nasher Sculpture Center and its Nasher SALON series.

First Senior Surprise Class of 2012 Rocks

Seniors received their first Senior Surprise on Friday, Augsut 19th in the Senior Cafeteria. Each senior received a colorful CD of Graduation Songs to get them ready for the exciting year.
